Role of Focus
Insurance settlement resolution, design and project management, cost management and contract administration
Focus has been involved with the Holly Lea Village project since 2015. Focus initially scoped the earthquake damage (on behalf of Generus Living Group) for negotiation with EQC and subsequently the insurer. Once settlement was reached, Focus undertook the design management to complete the required earthquake strengthening and repairs and, associated with this, managed the refurbishment of the facility. Refurbishment to date has included the front-of-house area and 18 of 38 apartments.
During this time Focus has worked closely with village management to ensure all works have been completed with minimal disruption and disturbance to village residents. This has been achieved through well coordinated and clear communication between all parties.
A future stage involves the construction of an Aged Care and Memory-Assisted facility and the construction of 28 apartments over two blocks
